Artist Bio

Tebogo Galagala is a Soweto-born auto technician, creative thinker, and co-founder of the urban cycling collective Biking Bandits. Known for blending mechanic skill with street culture, Tebogo helped breathe new life into Johannesburg’s cycling scene by turning it into a joyful, expressive, and community-led movement. What began as late-night rides during lockdown soon evolved into a vibrant culture shift — one powered by music, style, and the raw freedom of the open road.

At the heart of it all, Tebogo brings more than just technical expertise — he brings purpose. Whether building custom fixie bikes or co-hosting the now-iconic Homies Night Rides, he is creating spaces where young Black riders feel seen, safe, and celebrated. For Tebogo, cycling isn’t just a ride — it’s an act of reclaiming space, spreading joy, and building something that lasts.
